Astillero 2021, Revelation Wine in the Guía Peñín 2024

The latest edition of the most accredited wine publication in Spanish, the Guía Peñín 2024, has awarded the Revelation Wine prize to Astillero 2021, rated with 95 points out of 100. The second harvest of the wine made in the Ferrol parish of Esmelle, in the northernmost vineyard of Galicia, stands out as the best white made with the Blanco Legítimo grape variety in the publication and as one of the best wines in Spain.

Bodegas El Paraguas received the award that recognizes this wine with a limited circulation of only 280 bottles in the Hall of the Best Wines of Spain. Event that took place at the Ifema venue in Madrid on November 13th and 14th, where the Galician company had a stand in the podium area and offered the award-winning wine for being tasted, as well as the rest of the whites that were rated in the Guía Peñín 2024.

Astillero 2021 is a wine made with bunches of the Blanco Legítimo grape variety. After manually harvesting them in small boxes, they are taken to the winery, where a table selection takes place grain by grain. After a traditional production in stainless steel tanks with a controlled temperature of 15º C, the wine remains in contact with the skins for 7 months before being bottled.
