With vaccination, commercial visits return
Although the members of Bodegas El Paraguas have not yet been vaccinated, with the appropriate measures and assessing the de-escalation in the accumulated incidence, Bodegas El Paraguas has resumed commercial visits, initially in Spain and, as the pandemic evolves, it will attack them again beyond our borders.

With vaccination, commercial visits return

To launch this return to the new normal, at the hands of Diego Velázquez of Velbendi, responsible for the wines of Bodegas El Paraguas for the national market, Bodegas El Paraguas visited different establishments on the Costa Blanca for a week, where the wines of the Galician firm are perfectly established.
El Paraguas Atlántico, La Sombrilla and Fai un Sol de Carallo are wines that match perfectly with Alicante's gastronomy, which pantry is immensely stocked by the Mediterranean Sea and the lush meadows. An ideal visit to re-take the pulse of business relationships.

Bottled the plot wines of the 2019 vintage

Bottled the plot wines of the 2019 vintage

Bodegas El Paraguas announces the bottling for their necessary refinement before their release on the market in 2022 of the two plot wines that the Galician firm makes in the Avia Valley of the Ribeiro Denomination of Origin, La Sombrilla 2019 and Fai un Sol de Carallo 2019; two true masterpieces.
La Sombrilla 2019 is a wine made in the D.O. Ribeiro with the native Treixadura and Albariño grapes. 60% of the wine was made in a stainless steel tank in contact with its fine lees for three months. 40% of the remaining wine was fermented and aged alongside its fine lees for six months in 600-liter Burgundian French oak barrels. When the two wines were finished, the grapes were assembled from the La Castiñeira plot, which is located in the San Andrés area of the Ribadavia municipality, exhibited in an amphitheater and occupying 2 hectares of land.
On the other hand, Fai un Sol de Carallo 2019 is born from the selection of the best vines from La Cabrita's own vineyard, also located in the municipality of Ribadavia (Ourense) and occupying an area of 1.4 hectares. A white wine conceived with the triumvirate of great Galician autochthonous grapes: the Treixadura, the Albariño and the Godello. After twelve months of aging in second-use wood, the resulting wine remains refining in the bottle until it is marketed.

Renewal of the agreement with the Nuestra Señora de Chamorro Association

Renewal of the agreement with the Nuestra Señora de Chamorro Association

Bodegas El Paraguas has renewed its agreement with the non-profit organization Nuestra Señora de Chamorro to incorporate a young man from the association into the viticultural work, who has already been collaborating in the vineyards of the Galician firm for the third consecutive year.
Within the ambitious R&D policy that characterizes Bodegas El Paraguas since its inception, those responsible for the production house have bet within this research and development plan to give a worker with functional diversity the opportunity to carry out some viticultural work in the vineyards of the company.
The young man belonging to Asociación Nuestra Señora de Chamorro carries out his work in the vineyard cultivated by Bodegas El Paraguas in the Ferrol parish of Esmelle, the northernmost in Galicia, carefully directed by Marcial Pita and Felicísimo Pereira.
