La Sombrilla 2015 is a white wine drawn on the D.O. Ribeiro with the triumvirate of great native breeds from Galicia: the Treixadura, Albariño and Godello. The grapes come from the Viña de Eladio, located in the region of San Andrés, in the municipality of Ribadavia where has already been working Bodegas El Paraguas, a plot exposed in an amphitheater and occupying 2 hectares of land. 60% of the wine was made in a stainless steel tank in contact with its fine lees for three months. The remaining 40% of the wine was fermented and aged with its lees for six months in a Burgundian French oak barrel of 600 liters.

For the third consecutive year, Bodegas El Paraguas obtains a score equal to or greater than 93 points in the Peñín Guide, in this case, in the 2017 edition that has just been released. A milestone for a so young winery, humbly receiving this valuation without losing its philosophy and unique style in the Valley of Avia from Ribeiro.
Fai un Sol de Carallo 2014, the only valued wine from the Galician winery by the publication which includes reviews of more than 11,500 national wine brands, is one of the top 100 white wines in Spain. As in the previous harvests and because Bodegas El Paraguas only bottled the selected fruits from a specific payment, the production was tremendously limited, just over 750 bottles.
Unlike the previous vintage, the 2014 harvest of Fai a Sol de Carallo was reared for ten months in a new barrel of 600 liters capacity, although of the same Burgundian oak and coalfield. More notable in its organoleptic profile is the absence of botrytis cinerea in this coupage, thus losing the mellow touches that characterized Fai a Sol de Carallo 2013; but it gains in tipicidad, an aspect that Marcial Pita and Felicísimo Pereira were pursuing obsessively.

Bodegas El Paraguas has just bottled the third vintage of the 'top' wine from the Galician producing house, the 2015 harvest of the white wine Fai un Sol de Carallo. A wine of tremendously limited production, only 760 bottles, because it was made after a double selection - in vineyard and in cellar - of the best clusters that are grown in Finca La Cabrita, one of the oldest vineyards in Galicia, sited in the municipality of Ribadavia.
Fai un Sol de Carallo 2015 is a wine conceived in the D.O. Ribeiro with the triumvirate of great native Galician grapes: the Treixadura, the Albariño and the Godello. A wine made from a selection of clusters from vines situated on the most favored terraces of a vineyard planted in 1892 and which have been entirely made in a 600-liter barrel brought to the awareness of a tiny Burgundy oak. After twelve months of aging in new wood, the resulting wine begins to be refined in the bottle until the responsibles for Bodegas El Paraguas consider its timing to the market, still undated.

The thirty-second edition of the Gourmets Wine Guide has recently gone on sale, with 4,320 Spanish wines tasted during the present year 2016. In this disclosure, Bodegas El Paraguas is once again one of the outstanding wineries of the guide, thanks, according to the publication that "Since its foundation in 2011, this winery has demonstrated year by year the improvement and quality in the elaboration of El Paraguas".
The wine El Paraguas Atlántico, the only representative of the winery in the 2017 Gourmets Wine Guide, has been highlighted in the Honor Roll of the publication, thanks to the score obtained, 92 points. On the same, the dean guide's tasting panel has highlighted its complexity in the nose and its persistence in the mouth.
