This rating, achieved by the white wine from Bodegas El Paraguas in this manual that classifies the wines according to the majority variety with which they have been made, in this case, the Treixadura, allows the white to position itself on the guide's Roll of Honour, reserved for a single wine from each of the varieties represented in the publication.
Semana Vitivinícola is a specialized and technical publication on the wine sector, published every two months and with an annual guide. In fact, it is the oldest magazine in the Spanish wine sector and has been in operation since it was first published in July 1945 in informative sheet format.

The Wine Up guide applauds the wines of Bodegas El Paraguas

Joaquín Parra, head of the Wine Up Guide, has launched a new edition of his 2024 Guía de Vinos, which includes all the wines produced by Bodegas El Paraguas. In this digital publication, the Galician firm's wines are positioned, once again, among the best in Spain in their category.
The best rated by the author from La Mancha was the white Fai un Sol de Carallo 2020, with 94.46 points. This score establishes the 'top' white from Bodegas El Paraguas as one of the best white wines in the guide and as the best wine made with the Treixadura variety.
For its part, the wine produced in Ferrol, Astillero 2022, also stands out as The Spanish Wine Ambassador 2024 of the Blanco Legítimo or Albarín variety in the Wine Up 2024 Guide. The rating of 93.15 points has not been surpassed by another wine made with this native grape from the northwest of the peninsula.

Wines from Bodegas El Paraguas, available in 18 countries

Bodegas El Paraguas continues to expand its sales in international markets, since it began exporting to the Seychelles in 2012. With the addition of Portugal, the Galician firm now sells directly to 18 countries located on four continents, with Europe being its most fragmented market.
One of the first countries to bet on the Galician winery was Puerto Rico. Thanks to the distributor Plaza Cellars and the agent Jesús Herbón, Bodegas El Paraguas has conquered a market that has been demanding the wines of the winery since its second vintage, the 2012 El Paraguas Atlántico. Due to this synergy, last November, Felicísimo Pereira, technical director and co-owner of Bodegas El Paraguas together with Marcial Pita, attended one of the most important events on the Caribbean island, the Fine Wine Celebration organized at the Sheraton Hotel in San Juan. There, the winemaker from Ribadavia offered the wines of Bodegas El Paraguas to a large group of specialists and specialized journalists with great success.

A decade on the podium of the Guía Gourmets

For the tenth consecutive year, Bodegas El Paraguas is listed as one of the most outstanding wineries and an essential reference in the 2025 Guía de Vinos published by the prestigious Grupo Gourmets. An assessment that is accentuated among the 1,270 wineries referenced and the 4,315 wines tasted in the publication.
An achievement learned after having reached the Honor Roll of the Best Wines of Spain for the tenth time in a row with all the white wines produced by the Galician firm and which it has presented to the publication, with its labels appearing prominently on the central pages of the guide.
A blind tasting, where the jury cannot guess their favourite wines, in which the white El Paraguas Atlántico 2022 has emerged enormously reinforced, receiving a rating of 93 points out of 100. This rating places it as one of the best wines from Galicia and as a benchmark among Spanish whites.
