Robert Parker keeps Bodegas El Paraguas at the top of world white wines
The number 224 of the magazine The Wine Advocate, directed by Robert Parker, has published an article written by the prescriber Luis Gutierrez evaluating the wines from the different production areas of Galicia, including the two white ones that manufactures and markets Bodegas El Paraguas.

This assessment puts the two wines made by Bodegas El Paraguas at the top of the global wine industry and highlights the Galician company, with only four crops on the market, as one of the most interesting on the national scene.
Fai un Sol de Carallo 2014, with a diametrically opposite wine style to the first vintage 2013, has been rated with 92 points out of 100. On the other hand, the wine El Paraguas Atlántico 2014 also received the same assessment from the opinion of the critic Luis Gutiérrez, 92 points. The winery has received the scores with great pride and convinced that the only way to glory of terroir is the constant effort and sacrifice.

Bodegas El Paraguas debuts its new corporate image
After the settlement in a larger and more functional building in Cenlle, in the same Avia Valley in the region of Ribeiro (Ourense), Bodegas El Paraguas has new changes in its image. The Galician company debuts new corporate image with the 2015 harvest, which will be already available to be appreciated in all its wines.
The new adaptation of the image of Bodegas El Paraguas was made by the art studio of Vicente Villamil, who has sought a closer style to the Romanesque art of Ribadavia, to draw the various graphic expressions of the new logo.
A more modern, contemporary, sophisticated and close to the philosophy of Bodegas El Paraguas, which we expect our customers like.

The 2015 vintage will bring two new wines of Bodegas El Paraguas

Some media have already spread the news about the vineyard that Bodegas El Paraguas farms in Esmelle, parish from Ferrol, but none of them had yet released the name of the first experimental wine that the Galician company has developed on the premises of CFEA of Guísamo that manages the Galician regional government.
After its approval by trademarks and patents, we can present the label that will dress the first wine from Ferrol, named Astillero. A brutally atlantic wine prepared, as far as we know, in the most northerly quality vineyard of the Iberian Peninsula, only half a degree of latitude below Bordeaux. A wine that will not see the light until late summer or early fall.
Moreover, in the region of Ribeiro, Bodegas El Paraguas designed a new payment wine, made mostly with Treixadura and having a small contribution of Godello and Albariño. Under the label of La Sombrilla, this limited edition of 1,500 bottles will be ready for marketing by next winter.

The new label of El Paraguas Atlántico 2015, about to candy
Following the recent bottling of the El Paraguas Atlántico 2015 harvest, in the coming days the fifth harvest of the best-known wine from Bodegas El Paraguas. will be unveiled.
With a production limited to 6,400 bottles, same as in the previous harvest of 2014, the new Paraguas changes absolutely its look, from the bottle, through the capsule and, of course, the label.
The concept of the new design powers iconically the name of the wine, illustrating with the peculiar sense of humor the sometimes difficult climatic conditions of the land where it is grown. Dressed in a Burgundian bottle isis, El Paraguas Atlántico 2015 has been vinified with 86% of Treixadura, which has been assembled with a 10% of Godello and a 4% of Albariño.
A white wine that interprets the nature of the vintages, but always offers a very identifiable common style.
