10th anniversary of Bodegas El Paraguas
Bodegas El Paraguas celebrates a decade of experience. Ten years in which the Galician firm has managed to position itself as one of the leading wineries on the Spanish scene in the production of white wines, being one of the most prominent production houses in the D.O. Ribeiro. So much so, that its wines can be found in 15 countries from three continents.

Their secret is none other than high professionalism and knowing how to enjoy work every day. Marcial Pita and Felicísimo Pereira have proven to be one of the best-suited winemaking couples on the current scene. Pita, with day-to-day management, and Pereira, managing the technical-enological part, complement each other perfectly in this small project that has been growing in value and quality. Currently, its wines are found in some of the most important restaurants in the world. White wines that have the unison applause of the most important specialized critics on the planet.
In a normal situation, Bodegas El Paraguas would be announcing different activities to celebrate this anniversary with clients and friends. Unfortunately, Pita and Pereira will have to wait for the evolution of the pandemic to be able to share with you their wines, their trajectory and their bizarre stories. Their happy tenth anniversary comes in April and they wish you, given the impossibility of being able to enjoy with you, good health for everyone.

The best valued wines in the 2021 Guía de Vinos y Bodegas de Galicia

For yet another year, the Guía de Vinos y Bodegas de Galicia, in its 2021 edition, has positioned the wines of Bodegas El Paraguas among the most valued in the publication. An ideal reference manual to delve into the labels produced in Galician territory, written and directed by Luis and Alejandro Paadín.
From more than a thousand wines that are submitted to the 2021 Guía de Vinos y Bodegas de Galicia, only 10.6% of them were worthy of the highest distinction, the Great Gold. Recognition repeated by the white Fai un Sol de Carallo 2017 and in which the other great plot wine from Bodegas El Paraguas, La Sombrilla 2017, is released.
This publication is a benchmark in the national and international wine scene. This is accredited by awards such as the International Wine Merchant Awards as "2019 Best Wine Guide" or the Gourmand Awards in the Special Prize of the Jury Category as 2017 Best Book of Drinks in the World and 2013 Best Book of Wine and Tourism in Spain.

El Paraguas Atlántico, a wine that is showered with awards
The new edition of the 2021 Guía Vivir el Vino has just highlighted the white wine El Paraguas Atlántico, by Bodegas El Paraguas, as one of the 365 wines to take into account in this year 2021.
A very complete and educational publication, result of a strict selection of wines made by a panel of experts, after blind tasting more than 1,600 samples from the national territory. This is the second consecutive time that Bodegas El Paraguas joins this select club.
The 2021 Guía Vivir el Vino comments on the Galician firm's main Ribeiro that stands out for its freshness on the nose, while in the gustatory phase it exhibits "Atlantic character and personality". In addition, this year's sample scores El Paraguas Atlántico 2018 wine with 96 points out of 100, one of the highest evaluations for a white wine in Spain.
