Elmundovino and the 2018 Guía Gourmets exalt Bodegas El Paraguas
Elmundovino, the oldest wine information site, of the Grupo El Mundo, one of the most consulted websites on the Spanish wine scene, named Bodegas El Paraguas last November as the winery of the week in its virtual space.

The valuation of the two wines sent by the Galician company, La Sombrilla and El Paraguas Atlántico, deserved a recognition limited to very few firms in Spain.
After a tasting of wines from the Ribeiro and the Ribeira Sacra, La Sombrilla 2015 reached the highest score among all the wines presented from both denominations of origin. 17/20 is a valuation that only a handful of wines from all over the planet reaches or exceeds in the Elmundovino site every year. For its part, El Parguas Atlántico, was the third best qualified wine in the tasting.
On the other hand, the latest edition of the 2018 Guía de Vinos Gourmets also places the two whites that the Galician company presented to the tasting, El Paraguas Atlántico 2015 and La Sombrilla 2015, with an appreciation of 94 points. These high scores imply that, for the third year in a row, all the wines sent by the Galician company to the Grupo Gourmets publication position themselves in the prestigious "Honor Roll" of the guide.

The new website of Bodegas El Paraguas, www.bodegaselparaguas.com, is now available to all users, with detailed information on the winery, vineyards and white wines produced by the Galician company. A page designed in three languages (Spanish, English and Galician), which is tremendously practical and facilitates contact with the final consumer.
In the different sections of the flaming and functional web, visitors can access all the lands that Bodegas El Paraguas works in Valle del Avia of Ribeiro. Altitude, varieties, types of soils, exhibitions, orientations and all the data that explain why the Galician firm elaborates all the varieties of all the plots that it dominates separately -with the exception of the wine Fai un Sol de Carallo- and attending to the nature of the vintage.
The strong commitment to the online world of Bodegas El Paraguas is reinforced by the follow-up of the company on social networks, being one of the wineries with the best positioning in Spain, despite its small production. This is shown by the fact that more than 1,000 people follow Bodegas El Paraguas on Facebook or Twitter.

Bodegas El Paraguas conquers the Italian market
Despite the limited production of Bodegas El Paraguas, in the past harvest, the Galician firm was able to set aside a handful of boxes of its three white wines to be exported in Italy, one of the most demanding wine markets, in addition to one of the great producers of the planet along with France and Spain.
The recent visit of Bodegas El Paraguas to the transalpine country has exceeded all expectations generated for the processing house. Both in Milan and in Rome, the people in charge of the Galician firm have been able to see, first-hand, the professionalism of the market and the high demands of the client.

Bet on training with Teima

Bodegas El Paraguas has renewed the collaboration agreement with the non-profit organization Teima Asociación Síndrome de Down, to maintain a young man from the association who, for the third consecutive year, collaborates in the vineyards of the Galician firm. In order to favor its implantation in the Galician company, Bodegas El Paraguas is training Jorge García with his incorporation to the Basic Viticulture and Enology Course organized by CFEA of Guísamo (dependent body of the Xunta de Galicia) together with the Juana de Vega Foundation.
Within the ambitious R + D + i policy that characterizes Bodegas El Paraguas since its birth, the responsibles for the company have bet in this research and development plan to give a disabled guy a chance to carry out some tasks in the vineyards of the company.
The young man belonging to Teima performs his duties in the vineyard that Bodegas El Paraguas grows in the Ferrol parish of Esmelle, the northernmost of Spain, carefully managed by Marcial Pita and Felicísimo Pereira. A small vineyard cultivated with five different clones of the Blanco Legítimo grape variety.
