Since its establishment in 2011, Bodegas El Paraguas has had a resounding success, surpassing the expectations generated around its birth and its creators. With its wines El Paraguas Atlántico, La Sombrilla and Fai un Sol de Carallo, and with its R + D + i project featuring the Blanco Legítimo grape variety in the most northerly vineyard registered in Spain, the Galician firm has managed to capture the attention of the media, the most important sommeliers and the most exclusive restaurants of the planet.

Its quality is already guaranteed by the critics and the granted awards. In just a handful of harvests, the wine El Paraguas Atlántico has twice received the award for Best Spanish Wine in the White Wines category, awarded by the Asociación Española de Periodistas y Escritores del Vino (AEPEV), in May 2013 and April 2017.

The white wine head of the Galician firm also boasts having been decorated as Best Spanish Wine participated by the Treixadura variety, according to the 2013 Guía de la Semana Vitivinícola; to have been included in the Honor Roll of the Guía Gourmets de Vinos on three occasions (2016, 2017 and 2018) or, among others, to have been recognized as White of the Month in numbers 313 and 354 of Sobremesa, prestigious publication dean in gastronomic information in Spain.

Fai un Sol de Carallo and La Sombrilla wines have not gone unnoticed by the most influential agents of the wine world. The 93 points in number 216 of The Wine Advocate, directed by Robert Parker, who received the first vintage of wine Fai a Sol de Carallo, accounted the highest rating for a Galician white wine of the 2013 vintage in the most influential publication in the international wine world.
